A highly professional person, Dr Kirk Patrick took the time to carefully explain the wide local excision procedure that I was to undergo. She allayed my fears and answered my questions. To remove my DCIS, Dr Kirkpatrick worked to ensure the best outcome for me. She is an excellent surgeon and I knew from the beginning that I was in safe hands.

The possibility of breast cancer is incredibly frightening. I found that the staff at Luton and Dunstable Hospital in both their Screening Unit and in Miss Kirkpatrick's consultation area were brilliant, in that they gave you the fullest description of what tests were needed and why. They gave you the most important answer first, as you walked into the consulting room and then sat down. When I left the Hospital I felt totally reassured.
